My name is Ilan Shiran. 59 years old. Professionally, I am a practical chemist. For almost 30 years I worked in a chemical plant until one day the plant closed. For me, it was an opportunity to change direction and fulfill myself as a creative photographer. Today it is already clear to me that I did not choose photography, but that photography chose me.

With photography, I met on several occasions. Long before I knew what a professional camera was. Each such encounter only strengthened the connection with the world of photography.

For years I searched for my direction in photography. Only when I found him. It became clear to me that I had been there all along, without being aware of it.

My favorite place for photography is the beach. In my photos, you will discover sunsets and beaches and with them many human moments. Hidden characters and stories that seem to have been torn from a movie.
